Dan Friedman is Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications at Comcast Corporation. In this role, Dan leads external communications and strategy for Comcast’s Connectivity and Platforms businesses including Xfinity and Comcast Business, as well as Comcast’s Advertising, Technology and Customer Experience groups.
Dan is responsible for shaping messaging, creating narratives and storytelling opportunities, and building trust across Xfinity’s connectivity and entertainment products including Xfinity Internet, the nation’s largest broadband provider; Xfinity Mobile, the nation’s fastest mobile provider; and Xfinity X1 and Flex, award-winning entertainment platforms. Dan partners with leaders across the business to help bring key products and experiences to life including: the global technology platform, the engine behind the company’s entertainment and connectivity products; the launch of Xumo, a streaming joint venture between Comcast and Charter; Go Addressable, an industry-inclusive initiative to help maximize the scale, impact, and value of TV as a marketing platform. Dan also led the communications strategy around some of the company’s recent innovations including the Xfinity 10G Network, XClass TV and NOW TV.
Prior to joining Comcast, Dan spent over a decade in the agency and marketing world where he built brand and product communications strategies for major Fortune 500 clients. He held several key leadership roles at Interpublic Group’s media and marketing solutions division, Mediabrands, where he oversaw global internal and external communications for the company across 130 countries.
