Comcast Business Salutes Those Who Serve During THE PLAYERS® Championship 2025

As Comcast Business brought fans closer to the action on and off the course at THE PLAYERS® Championship 2025, Comcast and the PGA TOUR were honored to express our gratitude and deliver unique experiences to veterans, service members, and military families.

"The military community goes the extra mile, so we believe in doing the same for them," said Eileen Diskin, Chief Marketing Officer, Comcast Business. "We’re bringing groundbreaking fan interactions to all audiences, but it’s a special privilege to make the experience even more thrilling for those who’ve done so much for us."

R&R at the Patriots’ Outpost

THE PLAYERS® Championship 2025 featured the Patriots’ Outpost—a dedicated hospitality venue offering active-duty service members, veterans, and their families a place to relax and enjoy to take in the excitement of the tournament. This memorable experience gave hundreds of military community fans the VIP treatment, complete with shade, refreshments, and a dedicated space honoring their service.

The opening of the Patriots’ Outpost featured Comcast Business’s selection for The PLAYERS Championship’s “Charity of the Day,” Five STAR Veterans Center, a Jacksonville-area organization offering critical services to veterans. Comcast Business donated $25,000 through Project UP to the organization to enhance its technology center. The investment will not only facilitate free Internet access but will allow the organization to fund critical programs in support of its mission to care for veterans.

Connections with Operation Shower

Expectant military mothers and their loved ones gathered inside the PGA TOUR Headquarters in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, for Operation Shower – a special baby shower with support from Comcast Business. The "Sweet Dreams"-themed event was filled with surprises, including bibs, sippy cups, and brand-new laptops for the parents so they can get online, further develop their digital skills, and take advantage of all the great opportunities the internet offers.

To ensure families could bring all their gifts home, Comcast Business technicians Michael Candill and Zion Lunsford loaded trucks from the Comcast Business fleet with items and delivered them directly to the families' residences.

Finding a New Mission

Comcast Business championed the annual Military Job Fair, hosted by THE PLAYERS® Championship, in partnership with the Jacksonville Military Veterans Coalition. The free event was open to all military personnel, veterans, and military spouses seeking new career opportunities.

From our founder, Ralph Roberts, to tens of thousands of teammates, the military experience shapes our company’s focus on serving others. We’re grateful to the PGA and the City of Jacksonville for helping us connect with veterans and service members looking for their next mission with us at Comcast.
