Universal Destinations & Experiences Continues to Deliver Thrills and Chills to Fans Around the World
Each Universal destination offers its own distinct experience, from chilling frights to haunted delights like Halloween Horror Nights – now scaring guests in its 33rd year in Orlando and at Universal theme parks across the globe.
Every fall, guests brave their worst nightmares coming to life at Halloween Horror Nights—consistently named the world’s premier Halloween event. This global phenomenon takes place across multiple locations—Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Orlando Resort, Universal Studios Japan, and Universal Studios Singapore—each offering a unique twist on fear. At Universal Studios Beijing, guests can participate in the Scares @ Universal seasonal event, where in the daytime guests can meet “Minion Monsters” and in the evening be immersed in spine-tingling thrills like the haunted mazes. Learn more about what makes the Halloween experience at each of these parks a must-visit.
Universal Orlando Resort is where it all began. Halloween Horror Nights started here in 1991 and has grown into the largest of all the Halloween Horror Nights worldwide. This year, the horror begins earlier than ever before as Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights returns on select nights* from Friday, August 30 through Sunday, November 3–unleashing a new slate of frights and nightmare-inducing terror at every corner of Universal Studios Florida.
This year, a chilling new collection of horrifying experiences await guests, including 10 all-new movie-quality haunted houses inspired by cinematic greats and eerie original stories created by the twisted minds of Universal’s Entertainment team, plus five scare zones filled with hundreds of menacing creatures who will reign the streets of Universal Studios Florida. And in between the screams, guests can enjoy an energetic live show, fuel up for the next round of scares with sinfully delicious food and beverage inspired by the event’s haunts, shop the latest merchandise at the highly-themed Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store, and enjoy some of Universal Studios Florida’s most exciting attractions.
Six years after the original Halloween Horror Nights launched in Universal Orlando Resort, it was brought to Universal Studios Hollywood in 1997. Halloween Horror Nights here is famous for its movie-quality scares, drawing inspiration from the studio's long history of horror films. This year, multi award-winning artist The Weeknd makes his terrifying return to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood with an all-new haunted house experience, “The Weeknd: Nightmare Trilogy." Plus, “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Legacy of Leatherface,” which celebrates 50 years of the iconic maniacal monster, rounds out this year’s gruesome line up of terrifying haunted houses.
Universal Studios Hollywood’s exclusive Terror Tram is back with a vengeance. On “Terror Tram: Enter the Blumhouse,” horror fans will set off on the Universal Studios backlot and encounter some of the most frightening characters from Blumhouse’s popular franchises, including M3GAN, The Black Phone, Freaky, The Purge and Happy Death Day. Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood kicks off on Thursday, September 5 and will continue select nights through Sunday, November 3.
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Singapore returns for its 12th year with new nightmare-inducing thrills including four immersive haunted houses, three terrifying scare zones, three hair-raising shows and more. Visitors to the experience will be transported into the creepy hallways of the hit streaming series Netflix’s Sweet Home and will have to try not to fall victim to the grotesque once-human monsters.
This year, horror enthusiasts will be encouraged to scream at the top of their lungs in the ultimate experience where they dive head-first into a whirlpool of fear at Universal Studios Japan’s Halloween Horror Nights. From the “Street Zombies” experience where fans face off with security forces against vicious zombies, to the ultra-extreme "Chainsaw Man" experience where confronted by the Halloween Horror Nights Devil, and even the world of Resident Evil where one can join forces with heroes to take on creatures, guests will lose themselves in a frenzy of thrills beyond their imaginations, screaming all along the way.
